Terms and Conditions

  • Significance and Purpose: A spiritual name is a tool for transformation, representing a new identity and a way to shed past karmas. It is designed to be a “destiny name” that acts as a guiding force and a prayer, reflecting an individual’s true essence.
  • Voluntary Application: The process is typically voluntary, aimed at individuals seeking personal growth, to be used in personal and professional life.
  • Spouse/Parental Consent: Applicants may be required to undertake that they have obtained consent from their spouse (if married) or parents (if unmarried and between 18-25 years) before applying for a name change.
  • Legal Name Change: Receiving a spiritual name does not automatically change a person’s legal name. It is the responsibility of the recipient to follow the legal process of their country of residence to officially change their name if they choose to do so.
  • No Refunds/Cancellation: Often, no refunds or cancellations are possible for the donation or fee associated with requesting a spiritual name.
  • Use of “Singh” and “Kaur”: Traditionally, “Singh” is given as the second part of a name for men, and “Kaur” for women. However, individuals may select their preferred second name.
  • Usage and Integration: Recipients are encouraged to use their spiritual name in daily life, as it is considered an invocation and a blessing.

Key Considerations

  • Not Restricted by Religion: The name process is often viewed as a way to connect with a spiritual identity rather than a specific religion.
  • Identity Shift: Adopting a new name can bridge the gap between a person’s inner self and their external persona.
